A mother have been arrested after her daughter in kindergarten wrote a story describing how her mother shot at her father during a fighting incident in their home in Tennessee.
The woman identified as Kaydra Johnson was arrested by the police from the Shelby county sheriff’s office on Monday the 6th of February 2023 and charged with four counts of reckless endangerment for allegedly firing a gun at their house while the four kids of herself and husband was in the house. Tye police revealing how they got to know about the incident revealed that,
“A school counselor at the Donelson Elementary tipped off the state department of children service about the potential abuse after the young girl penned down everything the happened on that faithful day for her class work and even narrated how it ended up with gunshots”.
The story of the young girl reads;
"Mother and father got into a fight. Mom told him to get out because he was smoking too much. Father hit mother in the eye. Mother said look what you've done,? the girl wrote.
"Mother got the gun from under the bed. I was in the living room, and my sisters and brother were in the room. Mother pulled the g*n on father and sh@t three times. The bullets hit the wall.
Mother told him to sleep in his car in the driveway and not to come back or she will sh@@t him again.?"
Moving forward, police added that, when they got to the house of Kaydra Johnson to make the arrest, they found out she was absent while her 1 year old and 4 year old children were inside alone. Upon police forcefully opened the garage door to go inside and firefighters at the scene, the rescued they children and found they are okay despite being locked up for over an hour and half.
Deputies also noted several bullets in the living room, bedroom and hallway. Johnson confessed to the police of firing the shots but added that, she did so after his baby daddy entered her property without her permission and hit her with a vacuum cleaner. Police also confirmed that, Johnson had a cut and bruise around her right eye.
No one suffered from injuries from the gunshot and the two guns were seized from the house. The was the only available update at the publication of this article.
