American R&B singer Trey songz sue for $25m over rape allegations in 2016. Trey Songz was in the news few years back over rape allegations which he claimed never to have comment such act. In a new lawsuit against the musician he has been hit with a $25m lawsuit over sexual assault accusations.
In the suit, the singers manager Kevin Liles and 300 entertainment are named as defendant, adding that, the two parties should be held accountable for the singers actions. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles by one Jane Doe last February claiming the R&B singer real name Tremaine Neverson sodmoized her during a party in march 2016.
In an account which was giving to American news media Rolling stone, the attorney for Jane Doe George Vrabeck calls out the Atlantic records label, which Trey songz have been a member since the 2000s as well as the manager of Trey and 300 entertainment, the label co-founded by Trey Songz for turning a deaf ear to all the complains the victim brought out throughout the past years.
The attorney addressing and calling out the culprits revealed the following;
"This case is much more than about one singer and one viciously abused sexual assault survivor who has the courage to take action," Vrabeck says. "It's also very much about the systematic
sexual abuse in the music industry and the music industry's complicity in silencing sexual abuse survivors. It's virtually impossible to believe that those executives are not and were not aware of the institutionalized sexual abuse."
Although Does lawsuit was dismissed last November after the team of Trey countered back at her claims was past the statue of limitation. Shes still fighting for justice to be served.
