This includes errors that allegedly violate the rules of television programming

The Premier League has been forced to correct numerous errors in its announcement of the allegations against Manchester City.

In a 735-word statement on Monday, the Premier League listed more than 100 rules it accused City of breaking. On Wednesday, six of them quietly changed.

The original indictment claimed the city was charged under rules E.3, E.4, E.11 and E.12 in 2011-12. However, they are bound by petty rules such that Premier League weekend matches that are not shown on TV will take place on Saturdays and matches "will take place on New Year's Day except […] must enter the FA Cup. The Premier League later revised the statement to say that City were instead charged with breaching rules C.78, C.79, C.86 and C.87, regarding club accounts.

The bug was that only in subsequent seasons these rules were carried over to Part E. A similar bug occurred in 2021-22, when violations W.15 and W.16 were fixed in W.12 and W.13.

Barcelona willing to sell impressive central defender after just one season

Barcelona ready to sell impressive midfielder after just one season

Barcelona had a very productive transfer window last summer, despite their financial difficulties. Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde and Raphinha have all been brought in to major signings, with the former two having particularly impressed during their first seasons at the club.

One of the signings on Barca's radar is Andreas Christensen. The Denmark international has been signed as a free agent from Chelsea but is not expected to play too much, with Kounde, Ronald Araujo and Gerard Pique all in the first team. Xavi Hernandez.

However, with Pique retiring and Kounde switching to right-back, Christensen has been a regular starter for most of the season and has excelled. Xavi recently praised him, as did Barca Atletic head coach Rafael Marquez, who was a Blaugrana centre-back.

Despite his strong showing, The Athletic, according to Sport, report that Barcelona will find it difficult to turn down a good offer for Christensen this summer as the club are still struggling financially.

Barcelona hope to keep Christensen for next season. However, if a first-choice right-back is signed and Kounde is moved to his preferred centre-back position, the Dane could be left out of the squad anyway.
