Being a good finisher is defined solely by the number of goals scored in each game. These are the top five footballers in English Premier League history with Hat-Tricks in a season.
1. Alan Shearer - The English retired striker scored five hat-tricks in the 1995/1996 English Premier League season. With 35 goals that season, he was the leading scorer.

Erling Haaland and Rodri told in no uncertain terms where they stand in penalty rift
Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Rodri have been informed by Ilkay Gundogan that they will not take the penalty against Aston Villa.
The Manchester City players were embroiled in a particularly heated controversy on the pitch during the first half of the match against Aston Villa at the Etihad.
After Rodri and Ilkay Gundogan scored two goals for the hosts, City were awarded a penalty just before time after Jack Grealish was tripped in the box by former Villa team-mate Jacob Ramsey. Soon after, a heated exchange broke out as several City stars argued over who should take him.
Defensive midfielder Rodri won't be an appointment before the game, but perhaps the Spaniard could have scored a brace after tasting a goal earlier in the first half. A more obvious hint would be Erling Haaland, but he was also asked to move on. The Norwegian has scored a phenomenal 25 goals in 21 appearances so far this season and scored another assist to put his name on Gundogan's goal in the clash, but the player the Germans were in no mood to return the same to Haaland.
Man City's star striker wanted another 12 yards but captain Gundogan told him it was the responsibility of Riyad Mahrez to step up and transition from the position.
Luckily for Pep Guardiola and those involved with City, Mahrez did just that as the Algerian calmly shot and sent Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez in the wrong direction.

YES SAY YOUR SAY! Should Haaland take Man City's penalty now? Comment below
Although Mahrez scored the goal, he is hardly a penalty shoot-out expert and has missed a number of key penalties in his City career with four of his 16 missed. For this reason, it was a surprise that he was given the green light for Haaland.
That's even more astounding when you consider that Haaland has also taken four penalties for City since arriving in the summer and scored all four.
Man City fans can rest easy when Haaland appears annoyed or frustrated after learning he did not take the penalty. When Mahrez scored, the Man City striker ran to congratulate his teammates.
It was Haaland's last notable contribution to the game, with Guardiola opting to withdraw Borussia Dortmund's best player after half-time. His withdrawal was said to have been a precaution, with the striker complaining of discomfort in his thighs following a first-half collision with Martinez.
With an eye on Wednesday night's crucial game against Arsenal, Guardiola did not want to risk his top scorer for a game that was three-goal ahead of City at half-time.
