All of the schools in the Ehiamenkyene Circuit in the Fanteakwa South District received donations from Osafric Construction and Mining and its sister company, Osafric Ventures Ltd, a freight forwarding company, totalling GHC30,000.
There were significant difficulties for instructors in the Circuit with printing and photocopying.
They relied on the little stationery stores in the community, which were only open on market days once a week.
The corporation intervened with a brand-new projector, printer, desktop computer, and 700 personalised practice books after learning about the issues from the District Chief Executive for Fanteakwa South District Assembly.
The materials were accepted on behalf of the schools in the Circuit by Mr Bright Baah, the Circuit's School Improvement Support Officer (SISO), who also served as the District Director for Education.
He expressed gratitude to the business for the kind gesture and gave the assurance that the donated textbooks and other products will be distributed fairly.
The firm's project manager, Mr David Amponsah, took advantage of the occasion to highlight some of the gifts the company has given over the last few years.
Akropong School for the Blind, Nsawam Prisons, Akyem Akroful JHS, PPE materials to Atiwa East District Assembly, and Gyampomani Presby Primary School were recipients of gifts from the corporation last year.
The business assists tertiary students by paying their tuition and other expenses.
He emphasised that while last year was difficult for the business due to the skyrocketing costs of building materials, the company opted not to spend the money on employee get-togethers and instead donated it to the Ehiamenkyene Schools.
The firm was also congratulated for such a remarkable action to lessen the pain of the teachers in the Circuit by Mr Raphael Odonkor, District Coordinator for NADMO, who was speaking on behalf of the District Chief Executive. Additionally, he cautioned the instructors to use the supplies effectively.
The chief executive of Osafric Construction and Mining and Osafric Ventures Ltd., Mr Oscar Adu Sarfo, stated that he has education at the core of his being and that his main goal is to ensure that every child gets better education irrespective of geographical location.
His business has supported education to better the working conditions for teachers and to better the lives of our young people, who will be this nation's leaders in the future.
The business collaborates with the Yah-Salem Foundation to educate kids about concerns related to teenage reproductive health and personal cleanliness.
The Yah-Salem Foundation's founder and leader, Mrs Mary Adu Sarfo, counselled the students, particularly the females, on the need of maintaining good personal cleanliness and being celibate to avoid unintended pregnancies and STIs.
To make the event special, the Yah-Salem Foundation and the Osafric Group of Companies provided the students with a delicious dinner, beverages, and water.
Last but not least, Rev. Frimpong of the Church of Pentecost prayed for the CEO, his wife, the employees, and the business to have a prosperous
and productive year.
