Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the deputy minister in charge of general education, has urged parents not to prevent their kids from attending school, no matter the situation.
No of the type of work they conducted or the circumstances they would encounter, he said, parents should never use those circumstances as a reason to deny their children access to an education.
Rev. Fordjour highlighted that education held the key to their future aspirations during a durbar of chiefs and residents of Gomoa Akropong No. 2 in the Gomoa Central District in the Central Region.
The annual Akwambo festival of the local chiefs and residents was to be celebrated over a week of events that would culminate in the durbar.
People from all walks of life came together for the event, which had the theme "Working together to pursue peace and development for Akropong No. 2."
The Rev. Fordjour praised the local chiefs and residents for their contributions to the region's long-term peacekeeping efforts and asked them to keep up their peaceful coexistence.
He informed the populace that the administration was committed to working with all relevant parties to promote national development via education.
The Deputy Minister said that the government will keep up its efforts to make sure that everyone has access to The education of school-age youngsters was advantageous.

"The government wants all children to have equal access to school, regardless of their racial, political, or religious connections," the man added. "Therefore, numerous interventions have been made to ensure that all children have access to education."
Rev. Fordjour urged all parents to work with the government to support their children's attendance in school and completion by ensuring that they have access to basic necessities like clothing and luggage.
In order to improve effective teaching and learning in their schools, the Deputy Education Minister took advantage of the occasion to provide 15 pianos to some senior high schools in the neighbourhood and stationery to some basic schools.
Nana Odum Amanfo IV, the Odikro of Gomoa Akropong, praised the locals for their assistance in preserving the calm in the community and urged them to continue doing so.
He also praised the government for its assistance in the growth of education in the region but urged greater assistance to guarantee that many more young people have access to education.
