The president of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo has reportedly chastised the  head of state owned institutions whose agencies are non performing.

According to reports sighted on the page of entertainment and Ghanas leading breaking news website ghanaweb, the president of Ghana had expressed his faustration in the heads of state owned businesses whose  agencies are not not putting in much effort and he has to take the blame over himself every time.

As we all know, from 2021 coming have been a very difficult year for the Ghanaian economy and its citizens as a whole, constantly increase in goods and services, fuel prices skyrocketed and government workers salaries are being delayed sometimes. With all this going on, Ghanaians called upon the president to put measures in place to help slow down the state of the economy.

In a press, the president backlashes the heads of state owned enterprises revealing he cannot be taking the blames for their non performance.

Read the remarks below;

"Board chairs and entity heads have for a long

time been overlooked when blame is being

apportioned for the downturn in Ghana's

economic fortunes, with the flak going largely to

sector ministers and to Mr. President. You can no

longer stay in the shadows while others receive

the backlash for the nation's current problem," he

is quoted to have said while delivering a keynote

address at the maiden State Interest and

Governance (SIGA) annual stakeholder meeting

held over the weekend at Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region.

The report indicated that President Akufo-Addo

could not understand why state enterprises

contribute less than 5 percent of Ghana's Gross

Domestic Product (GDP).

He, therefore, urged the heads of these entities to

take on the responsibility of making these

agencies more visible as well as front and centre

to Ghana's development process

"Jump-starting our economy begins with you, you

should be the major drivers of the economy,

rather than being a financial burden.

"We have to sail together or sink together and I

have no about your expertise and commitment.

The Akuffo Addo will come to an end late 2024, although we facing challenges but we cant overlook the outstanding performance he has put out there during his tenure of office as the President Of the Republic of Ghana.

On the other hand, the member of parliament for the Assin central constituency Hon. Kennedy Aggyapong have urged Ghanaians to give him for four years to transform Ghana.
