First-choice goalkeeper Annan departed the team when Maxwell Konadu, the head coach at the time, benched him.
Later, the young goalkeeper joined Maryland Bobcats FC in the USA.
Annan clarified that his marriage was never one of the reasons he left the club, despite the former WAFA goalkeeper's claims that he was having problems there.
"That question is getting tedious, but I'll respond to the one asking if the coach told me not to get married. You can bet your bottom dollar that I won't. He never stated anything like that, according to Felix Annan, speaking on Angel FM in Accra.
He claims that the club abandoned him just when he needed them to help him regain his form.
Because players are protected by clubs in Europe, they [Kotoko] shouldn't say it again. How many challenges has De Gea faced, yet his supporters never gave up on him?
Although I was unfortunate, I will never desire for anyone to experience something like again. It hurt," Annan continued.
