Mudryk accused of 'watching the ball' during Adeyemi's win over Chelsea - discovered

Chelsea lost 0-1 to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the round of 16 Champions League.

The only goal was scored by Karim Adeyemi, who overcame everyone and dribbled the ball for Enzo Fernandez and Kepa Arrizabalaga to score in the second half.

However, it seems that Mykhailo Mudryk was better able to prevent it.

When the ball was broken out of Dortmund's penalty area, Mudryk ran to the closest to block Adeyemi.

Instead, he ran at a moderate pace and even saw Thiago Silva pass him halfway. He chose not to use his breakneck speed to attack Adeyemi and protect Enzo more.

In the end, the Dortmund striker overcame all to score the winning goal for the home team.

Dortmund, who started without captain Marco Reus, found a great opportunity with a Sebastien Haller shot into the net (27), but the Londoners should have scored the first goal. Joao Felix, on loan from Atletico Madrid, dribbled over the bar (32?) and was unlucky and then hit the crossbar by goalkeeper Gregor Kobel (38?). After the reboot, "The Blues" pressure phases continued despite their lack of necessary effectiveness.

Kobel has twice shown himself with a free kick (54th) and a goal from Reece James (62nd). The guests again failed to capitalize on the corner and were punished as part of Dortmund's photobook counterattack. Adeyemi stopped and left

Former Austrian soldier Adeyemi started running from his own box, receiving the ball in his own half, past Enzo Fernandez and past goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga before hitting from a tight angle into an empty net.

The German striker shined like the good old days in Salzburg as he made his way to Europe. For the 21-year-old, it was the fifth goal in a game this season, second in the first division. Of course, his mandatory goal-celebrating somersault is not to be missed. When Kobel also blocked Koulibaly's shot and Emre Can saved the ball from rolling towards the goal line as it missed (78th), the home team's victory remained. After ten times undefeated, BVB finally won against an English team in the Champions League.

Moreover, their success can continue into 2023 and Game 7 has also ended successfully. For Chelsea, on the other hand, things are not going so well under Graham Potter, with only 2 of the last 13 games ending in a win for 'The Blues'.

Benfica wide open the door to the quarterfinals

Benfica set up the game against Belgium before half-time and were unlucky with many opportunities, including Rafa Silva's remarkable shot from the left foot that went over the bar (30?). Denis Odoi almost turned the game upside down, but his goal was disallowed for a narrow offside (45?). In the second half, the guests quickly dominated.

Goncalo Ramos was accidentally cut down by Jack Hendry in the box and Joao Mario successfully took the penalty from under the crossbar (51?). Striker David Neres (88th) scored the second goal for Roger Schmidt's team.
