AC Milan fans didnt exactly give Ivan Perisic or Dejan Kulusevski a warm welcome as Tottenham Hotspur travelled to the San Siro.
Tottenham headed to Italy on Tuesday night in search of a positive result in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash.
Saturdays 4-1 hammering at Leicester City was hardly ideal preparation and Tottenham werent much better here.
Brahim Diazs early goal for Milan proved to be the winner as Tottenham just couldnt haul themselves back into the game.
Spurs managed just three shots on target and now face a battle to turn the tie around back in North London.
This was a difficult night for Tottenham and it didnt exactly start out well for a couple of Spurs players at the San Siro

Tottenham duo Ivan Perisic and Dejan Kulusevski booed by Milan fans
This game meant returns to Italy for a number of Tottenham men.
Ex-Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic started at left wing back whilst former Juventus wide man Dejan Kulusevski featured on the right flank.
The Athletics Tim Spiers noted that both players were loudly booed by Milan fans when the teams were read out.
Milan fans hadnt forgotten Perisic and Kulusevski turning out for their rivals, so let them know they werent welcome.
There were even louder boos for boss Antonio Conte, formerly of both Inter and Juventus.
Cristian Romero who was on the books at Genoa, Juventus and Atalanta seemed to get away boo-free.
Spurs fans may have hoped that the booing would inspire Perisic and Kulusevski but it just didnt happen.
Neither player really made any kind of impact, turning in flat performances in a disappointing Tottenham defeat.
Lets hope the pair fare better when they have the support from more Tottenham fans in the second leg
