Man United fans all say the same about the situation between Kounde and Rashford

Manchester United fans can't believe the referee's decision in the situation between Marcus Rashford and Jules Kounde.

Man United are leading Barcelona 2-1 at the time of the first leg of the Europa League play-off round at Camp Nou.

Bruno Fernandes picked Rashford, who ran after the ball and ran towards goal before collapsing into goal after a collision from Kounde.

The French defender appeared to cut off the leg of the England international, who fell just outside the box.

But the match's referee Maurizio Mariani did not cut the whistle or reward the visitors. Rashford couldn't believe he wasn't awarded a free-kick as he gestured furiously at the lineman.

Man United fans online also expressed their emotions when they could not believe that Kounde was not sent off.

One Twitter user wrote:

"How come the game was abandoned but then there was a foul that Gavi didn't commit? @UEFA what's going on with that referee?"

A second tweet:

"It was a free kick and a red card because it was a clear scoring opportunity if not fouled."

The third added:

"The man with the weird 'uefalona' stuff could be back. Barcelona is always the one to make those decisions."

Fourth comment:

"He was the last one, he should have been a real Indian."

Another said:

"How is it not a red card? Or a punishment?

Barca equalized when Raphinha's pass went into the net.

Speaking after the 2-2 draw, Erik ten Hag lamented the incident where he punched the Italian referee during his post-match interview.

“The referee has a big influence in this match,” he said. "A clear foul on Rashford and then a red card. The referee can't make that kind of mistake."

Rashford echoed his manager's view as he believes it was 100% a foul. "It was a pivotal moment in the game," he said. "I haven't looked back, but at the moment I don't understand why the referee thinks I fell. That's 100 euros for me."

Marcus Rashford embarrassed Raphinha with dazzling skill before Man Utd goal

Manchester United and England striker Marcus Rashford led his side's recovery against Barcelona in the Europa League as Erik ten Hag's side clinched a draw at Camp Nou

Marcus Rashford was the star of the game as Man Utd drew Barcelona 2-2 in the Europa League, scoring one goal and assisting another with superb skill.

After a goalless first half, United fell behind when Marcos Alonso went up to take Raphinha's corner. However, everything went perfectly within minutes, when England striker Rashford broke through and dropped Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The best is yet to come, with United's No 10 destroying Raphinha with the flag from a corner to score his team's second goal, with the ill-fated Jules Kounde kicking his own own goal. However, former Leeds player Raphinha had the last laugh, bringing back the late equalizer to help the two-legged game to be balanced midway. First, Rashford collected a small corner from Luke Shaw, before swerving past Raphinha when Shaw offered to return it. There didn't seem to be much space behind the former Leeds man, but Rashford found him.

Keeping up with the pace brought the academy graduate to the signing, from where he broke into a low ball. There was an element of luck when Bruno Fernandes picked up Koundé's cross, but the goal wouldn't have been possible without Rashford's lightning-quick feet.

Minutes later, we witness the same thing, this time with the Kounde victim. The French defender appeared to have dropped the striker on the edge of the box, prompting United manager Ten Hag to show a red card, but in the end the action didn't even count as a foul.

"It's 2-1 clearly because of a foul by Marcus Rashford," the away coach said after the game. “We could discuss whether it was a foul in the box or out of the box, but for sure it was a red card.

"I asked the referee why. He said it was outside the box and it was not a foul. The line umpire and the umpire were in a good position to watch and I think we used VAR.

"It's not good, it was a very bad decision. Maybe they were under pressure from Barca, but they can't be at the high level of European football. It was a big influence, not only this game but also the whole game. this round." and the referees can't make such mistakes."

To make matters worse for United, they were unable to keep up an impressive win. In the 76th minute, Raphinha made a cross that was missed by teammate Robert Lewandowski but went into the far corner, making David de Gea unable to react. Teams will have to start from scratch at Old Trafford next Thursday with a place in the Round of 16. The away goals rule no longer applies in the Europa League, so a draw of any kind would result in a draw. The team is in a draw. overtime.

At the very least, there is some booing for the Premier League outfit when it comes to player availability. Both Marcel Sabitzer and Lisandro Martinez will be available after suspension, while Barca star Gavi received a yellow card at Camp Nou, keeping him out of the second leg.
