BARCELONA STAR SET TO MISS MATCH AGAINST REAL MADRID

Most people consider Real Madrid to be the weaker team going into the Copa del Rey semi-final against Barcelona. When the two rivalries met for the last time, in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, the Catalan giants won overwhelmingly. They also have 8 points away from the top of La Liga table.

Therefore, it is not difficult to see why people might consider Barcelona a good candidate for the match. But Xavi's side took a hit in a recent game against Manchester United, which could affect the upcoming El Clasico. Pedri has been one of Barcelona's most important and best players this season. He even scored in the Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid. But when the two teams meet next time, he looks set to miss.

Pedri picked up an injury during Barcelona's recent UEFA Europa League match against Manchester United and was forced to leave the field at half-time. And it looks like he won't be active for a while. The Barcelona star will miss the match against Real Madrid

As Carrusel Deportivo tweeted, it is estimated that Pedri will be sidelined for 4 weeks. He injured his right thigh.

The first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final between Barcelona and Real Madrid will take place in early March. So it looks like Pedri will almost certainly miss this match if he doesn't recover faster than expected.

This could be a big problem for Xavi's team. Pedri is currently one of the most important players on his team.

Of course, no one wants to see a player injured and we wish Pedri the best of luck in his recovery.
