A mozambique pastor has died after his attempt to trying fasting for 40 days following the footsteps of Jesus Christ. The pastor identified as Francisco Barajah who is the founder and leader of Santa Trinidad Evangelical church in the central part of Manica was unable to stand, walk or even bath by himself after he fasted for 40 days and nights.
He sadly passed away on the 15th of February after he was sent to the hospital for treatment following his condition after the 40 days after. According to reports, relatives of the deceased intervened at a point when they saw his health had deteriorated. According to multiple online sources, his fasting was dry fasting that’s no water as well as food for the 40 days.
The pastor who also doubles as French teacher was said to have severe anaemia and all his internal organs was said to have been damaged due to the severe impact of the starving he putted himself into. A neighbor who live next to Barajah revealed that, he fell six on the 25th day of the fast but it became worse during the 38th day.
Medical personnel tried to nourish and rehydrate him with food and other supplements but to no avail. He sadly passed away due to the complications of the starving he went through.
