Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has previously warned that Graham Potter is turning Chelsea into a small club by receiving defeats just because the team plays well.
Although Chelsea lost 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, Potter admitted he was proud of the performance but Mourinho warned against such mentality.
After Chelsea suffered successive defeats against Valencia and Liverpool under former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, Mourinho told Sky Sports:
“I hope they are not used to that.
"It's a very important thing, because when you start accepting defeat just because your team played well and just because your players gave their best, it's a performance that everyone can proud... I think when you get used to it, that's when the big clubs are not the big clubs.
"So I don't think they should get used to it."

Liverpool will benefit from Thierry Henry advice to Erling Haaland amid USMNT link
Thierry Henry, who is involved in the work of the USMNT, offered some advice to Erling Haaland. It looks like Liverpool are capitalizing on the previous success.
Sign of promise. Too many false auroras. An indescribable feeling that one or two adjustments will see everything in order without being able to capture the essential nature of these changes. It's a pretty accurate description of Liverpool's campaign so far, but it also summarizes Darwin Núñez's first season.
The expensive addition has at least brought more joy to the team as a whole, with its overall turmoil more closely resembling Jürgen Klopp's early iterations at Liverpool than the aging and hard-working division that money is currently tasked with restoration. But overall, Núñez reflected to the group that things were not going well.
Admittedly, Núñez was unlucky to keep up with Erling Haaland, who was seen as rivalries when the duo arrived in the summer as key additions to two teams that had just won the Premier League title. In fact, Manchester City have clearly bought a much more finished product, with the Uruguayan having never played in a top league before. But the contrast did not relieve the pressure on the Liverpool man.
However, Haaland is also not immune to criticism, despite being on the verge of erasing the Premier League goalscoring record. Indeed, none other than Thierry Henry recently suggested that the Manchester City forward was wrong about something important.
Henry is perhaps one of the few people who can advise the Norwegian star, with 175 Premier League goals to his name and a reputation as one of the best players the league has ever had. And the Arsenal legend, who was recently linked to the USMNT manager position (via USA Today and others), believes the story that Haaland is not really a good fit at Manchester City. Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry explained the important advice Arsene Wenger gave him, which Haaland will now follow very well.
"Arsène told me, ask yourself the right question. When I was a striker, I complained about everything, yes, 'he didn't give me the ball'...
"The coach said: 'Do you think Dennis Bergkamp can pass the ball to you the same way Fredrik Ljungberg did?' So I started thinking.
"With Dennis, I know I can move the way I want...Robert Pires likes one or two, I have to run with him. Fredrik Ljungberg, I have to follow his path, the way he runs, because otherwise he won't see me. How can I improve a player's skills instead of pointing out their weakness?
"I think sometimes Haaland runs the same regardless of who is holding the ball."

Erling Haaland is mentored by Thierry Henry. Liverpool are ready to take advantage of it.
Here's a fascinating insight from Henry. Besides highlighting Bergkamp's incredible level of pomp and hinting that the USMNT will have a savvy match-watcher, it also offers an interesting contrast between elite strikers and the elite players of the team.
Liverpool know the difference having trusted Roberto Firmino for so many years. Klopp certainly doesn't believe that goals must define a big nine. And while Núñez was apparently signed as
