The Asamankese Royal family has urged the populace to reject Barima Pobi Asomanin's assertions that he is the legitimate successor to the throne.
The Royal Head claims that Nananom has become aware of Barima Pobi Asomanin, Chief of Aworasa, asserting his claim to be the legitimate Chief of Asamankese. This assertion is completely untrue, therefore we need to clear the air.
First of all, in Asamankese, there is no clan or family by the name of Royal Akua Korang Abrade Akwamu clan.
There is a legitimate Asamankese Chief, and his name is OSABARIMA ADU DARKO III.
Second, after being nominated, chosen, and elected as the Chief of Staff of the Okyenhene, OSAGYEFO AMOATIA OFORI PANIN, Osabarima Adu Darko III has pledged the oath of loyalty to him.
On December 18, 2018, Osabarima Adu Darko III's name was gratefully placed in the National House of Chiefs' records by Okyenhene.
Lastly, we should disregard his assertion that Osabarima Adu Darko's gazette is a forgery with the disrespect it merits. In fact, the Asamankese have just one legitimate Chief, Osabarima Adu Darko.
According to a public announcement released by the office of the Okyenhene on December 20, 2021, the alleged installation of Barima Pobi Asomanin has been ruled invalid and OSABARIMA ADU DARKO III has been duly installed as the Chief of the Asamankese.
On December 20, 2021, Barima Pobi Asomanin and his 30 other (land guards) colleagues were arrested as a result of the alleged installation of Barima Pobi Asomanin.
At the moment, they are being prosecuted in Koforidua Circuit Court B.
Fourthly, Pobi Asomanin's assertion that the event known as OBO-DWAN does not exist in Asamankese confirms that he is not the real Asamankese stool king, as he claims.
We observe that the forefathers of Barima Pobi Asomanin joined the Opanyin Kwame Apeatu Abrade tribe after arriving in Asamankese. Their family was banished from Opanyin Apeatu's family as a result of their deviant behavior, which included failing to pay family funeral dues and failing to attend funerals. The Barima Pobi Asomanin family currently has two separate heads of household.
His forebears have never been laid to rest in the Royal Mosque of the Asamankese. (Baamu)
All of his family members, including his great-granduncle Opanyin Kwaku Ababio, were buried. False allegations are something Barima Pobi Asomanin frequently does in the media and on social media. These are assertions he can only make on social media after being refuted by the appropriate courts and conventional authorities, and there is presently no litigation pending in any court.
We can attest that Osabarima Adu Darko III is supported by all Asamankese descendants, including his Sub-chiefs. Asamankese is completely at peace, and Nananom will work with government organizations to maintain law and order.
Osabarima Adu Darko III is adored by everybody, as evidenced by the impressive involvement of Asamankese sons and daughters in the last festivities of the body and festival.
