A Nigerian man who falsely got married to an American woman and defrauded her of an amount $200k have finally been arrested by Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The suspect identified as Chidozie Kingsley Nwachie better known as Dozie was allegedly arrested by on the words sayers who valued he lured the woman into a false marriage by pretebding to love her, showing her care and eventually robbed her off her life savings of an amount estimated to worth over $200k.
The unidentified suspect speaking on the matter revealed the following;
"I was accustomed to transferring money to him and further felt i had no choice, since I had just married him, even though I did not feel confident in my choice to have married him”.
The victim further revealed that his said husband kept on making new stories every day to take money from her, so for her, she realized he was just a fraud because she realised he was draining her financially and that he never loved her. After the arrest, of the suspect Nwachi, the police recovered two cars namely a “Toyota Venza” and a “Lexus”, two expensive wristwatches, two iPhones, two MacBooks, an international passport and multiple ATM cards. An amount $2,204 was also recovered from him said the EFCC.
