Man City fans think Jorginho's goal is offside, the referee should not have recognized it

Arsenal enjoyed a dramatic 4-2 win over Aston Villa to return to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday.

Jorginho played a key role in this, with his incredible shot leading to the goal in Emiliano Martinez's own goal.

However, some Man City fans believe that Villa was robbed and the goal should not have been able to stand.

They thought Eddie Nketiah was offside and blocked Martinez's line of sight as the shot approached goal.

VAR certainly looked at it, but it wasn't important enough to rule out a winner. However, city fans remained angry as they reacted on Twitter.

Destroyer:

“Nketiah was offside and dodged when Jorginho was about to shoot. Flight."

tonsky:

“Two Arsenal players were offside in front of the goalkeeper when Jorginho took the shot. How do they not interfere?

Chapu92 via Reddit:

“LAW 11 – VIETNAM The attacking player is in an offside position (A) obstructing the goalkeeper's view. He must be penalized for obstructing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball.

Saul93 via Reddit:

“We have to get used to Arsenal making 50/50 decisions for the rest of the season. This mistake and Arteta's groan mean that the umpires won't risk making the wrong decision against them.

Erling Haaland's double against Nottingham Forest

Pep Guardiola's Manchester side dropped two points on Saturday after drawing 1-1 at Nottingham Forest, but Haaland had a chance to close the game in the 66th minute as they led 1-0.

Keylor Navas turned down Phil Foden before Haaland's recovery effort hit the crossbar. Haaland received the ball but missed the target, sending the ball over the crossbar.

The Norway international was unable to seal the victory, as Chris Wood scored late in the game from the bench to help Forest claim a point.

Following Arsenal's 4-2 win over Aston Villa, the Gunners are back at the top of the Premier League table, two points behind the Sky Blues. It's so close that this double slip could be decisive.
