"He deserves better":

Xavi pointed out the player he was unfair to, not Raphinha

"I'm not fair to Eric [Garcia]. He trains well. He never complains and is always optimistic with a smile. He deserves to play more," Xavi told the media.

Eric Garcia is expected to feature in the starting lineup against Cadiz on Sunday. The centre-back has not played a minute since late January when Barcelona faced Girona away.

In total, the 22-year-old has made 18 appearances for the Blaugrana this season, contributing three goals.

Manchester United are eyeing a full Qatari takeover as the summer transfer window draws closer.

David McDonnell provides update on Man Utd takeover

Whoever owns Manchester United this summer, Erik ten Hag and his recruiting team have prioritized a new striker. Having landed at Wout Weghorst last month, the Red Devils knew they needed an upgrade to increase their chances of dominating English football once again. And player profiles could change if, as many expect, Qatar ends up taking over the club.

Manchester United have refused to sign a new striker this summer. With Anthony Martial impressing on the club's pre-season tour and the club confident that Cristiano Ronaldo is going nowhere, the Red Devils don't feel the need to  invest in that department.

Instead, United signed Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro, Antony and Martin Dubravka.

This winter, however, the situation has changed.

United watched Ronaldo burn his bridge at the club in November, and Ten Hag had no choice but to let the 38-year-old out the door after an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

And then they landed on Weghorst, who temporarily came to do some work until the end of the season. Man Utd take over:

Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag wants a new striker for the Qatar takeover

United could soon have a new owner and Qatar appears to be in a vital position to topple the Glazers after 18 years of controversial rule.

But no matter what happens, a new striker is the club's top priority. The only question is who...

Under the Glazers, United often worked on a tight budget. Except for this past summer, Americans rarely distributed more money than they wanted.

Of course, they made an exception earlier this season. Richard Arnold's call for them to spend more after punitive defeats against Brighton and Brentford further increased the pessimistic mood around the club.

But traditionally, the Glazers only give the green light to players who come in when it's right for them.

It's an open secret, for example, that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Jack Grealish instead of Donny van de Beek back in the summer 2020 transfer window.

However, the Glazers, believing Aston Villa's price tag of around £70 million was too high, intervened to prevent the deal from being signed.

However, Qatar promised to provide Ten Hag with the necessary investment to shape the team to its liking. So with United potentially poised for a transfer on a scale never before seen, it will be interesting to see who comes in.

If money is not an issue, it is possible that United will do everything they can to secure the signing of Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Kane's contract in north London will have just one year left at the end of the season.

And with Tottenham still a long way from winning the biggest trophies and trophies, the Red Devils could be ready for their changes.

Daniel Levy has ruled United out of offers for Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, among others.

But if Ten Hag wants Kane, Qatar may decide to sign a deal. After all, landing English football posters would be a statement.

Another interesting United player is Victor Osimhen.
