MATCH REPORT – HEARTS OF OAK 0-2 ADUANA STARS.

In the Accra Sports Stadium, Aduana Stars defeated Accra Hearts of Oak 2-0 to extend their lead atop the 2022–23 Ghana Premier League standings.

Early on, with the action taking place in the centre of the park, both sides attempted to seize control of the situation.

Hearts of Oak's Cameroonian forward Albert Dieudonne Eonde nearly scored in the 11th minute, but Alex Boakye's quick goal-line clearance stopped him.


Before the half-hour mark, Hearts of Oak kept trying to score early, but the Aduana Stars defense stood firm to prevent the visitors from scoring.

Aduana Stars' Isaac Mintah scored the game's first goal in the 47th minute with a composed finish off a feed from Sam Adams.

With a single run into Richmond Ayi's net in the 64th minute, Aduana Stars' historic triumph was sealed by Isaac Mintah.

Aduana Stars continue to lead the league with 35 points, while Hearts of Oak are presently fourth with 28 points.

The Phobians' subsequent league match will be against Accra Great Olympics, and Aduana Stars will play King Faisal.

Black Queens begin the Nora Hauptle era with a stunning victory over Benin.

The Black Queens, the women's national team of Ghana, defeated Benin 3-0 on Sunday to mark the beginning of Nora Hauptle's tenure as manager.


The Black Queens scored three goals in the first half of the friendly match at the Friendship Stadium in Cotonou, Benin, to easily win.

28 minutes into the game, Princella Adubea handed the Black Queens the lead, setting the stage for a resounding win.

Nine minutes later, Princess Owusu, who is making her debut, gave Ghana a double advantage.

At the stroke of halftime, Evelyn Badu scored a lovely volley to put the Black Queens up 3-0 and complete the scoring.


In the second half, there were no more goals as Nora Hauptle, a Swiss coach, had an outstanding start as Ghana's coach.

The Black Queens' final friendly of this month will be against Togo on February 25.
