Karim Adeyemi sustained an injury during the Borussia Dortmund encounter against Hertha Berlin, and it is now highly improbable that he will play in the Chelsea matchup in the Dortmund Champions League.
Adeyemi tore a muscle fiber, the German club announced on Monday (h/ Football.London), and will miss about three weeks of action. In just 15 days, Dortmund will play Chelsea in England at Stamford Bridge.
The loss of Adeyemi will be felt keenly, but Edin Terzic still has access to many exceptional players, so it shouldn't be the Blues' main source of inspiration.

The 21-year-old scored the game's lone goal in Dortmund's round of 16 first-leg showdown with the Blues on Wednesday, handing Graham Potter his first Champions League defeat.
Due to a free kick from James Ward-Prowse, Chelsea were unable to bounce back from that loss and slipped to bottom-place Southampton in the Premier League.
Chelsea played really well, especially considering how the first leg was played, but their issue thus far has been a lack of flair in front of goal.
The Bundesliga team was heavily dependent on Adeyemi in attacks with his pace, as was seen when he outran Enzo Fernandez in a one-on-one before scoring. Now that he is out of the game, the Blues may take advantage of their weakness.
Due to an injury, Karim Adeyemi will miss the Champions League match against Chelsea.
As winning the game is our main goal whatsoever, we shouldn't rely just on one of their many outstanding players who they still have.
The former Swansea City manager is under a lot of strain as he gets Chelsea ready to play Spurs on Sunday at noon at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
If they don't yield a favorable outcome, things will only become worse, at which point Todd Boehly will have to make a decision on Potter's future at Chelsea.
Also, we must have two victories by then before our Champions League encounter against Dortmund on March 7.
