A 36-year-old doctor has been arrested at the Kwara state for alleged organ harvesting. The doctor identified as Abass Adio was picked up by the Kwara state police command over human organ harvesting leading to the death of four people.
The state commissioner of police identified as Paul Osaka made the news of the arrest of this doctor via a statement to news agencies on Monday, the 20th of February 2023 at the police headquarters in Ilorin. Further speaking on the matter, he revealed that one of the victims identified as Olanipekun Ifeoluwa who was reported missing was reportedly seen in a bush at Alapa in Asa LGA of the state.
He also added that further investigations into the disappearance of Ifeoluwa raised their suspicion and they confirmed that, the suspect was last seen with Ifeoluwa before her eventual death and body being discovered in the bush. So the police quickly started a manhunt for the said suspect who happens to be Dr. Abas.

"While the command was searching for the doctor, news filtered in that the Police Command in Edo had arrested Dr. Abbas Adeyemi in connection with another case of k#lling. The
command to get to the root of the serial m¥rder case in Kwara state succeeded in getting him released from Edo to the Kwara state command to help in the investigation. He confessed to having k#led Ifeoluwa by h#tting her with an object on the head and *dumping the body in a bush. He also
confessed to having earlier s£dated and causing the kidn@p and K#lling of one Abubakar Malam Abubakar, m, and K#lling of one Nafisat Halidu, f, a casual worker at General Hospital both in
Kaiama concealed her body in a trash can, filled the trash can with cement, and kept it inside locked storage in the hospital with the key in his procession. He also confessed to the K#lling of one unknown lady buried inside the same general hospital store. Both bodies were exhumed, recovered, and deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. Mr. Odama said the suspect, Dr. Adeyemi, confessed further to
having been lured into organ h@rvesting by a yet-to-be-identified syndicate”.
