In response to the criminal charge made against Rev. Kusi Boateng by the Alliance for Social Equality and Public Accountability, Dr. Clement, Member of Parliament for Builsa South, made a statement (ASEPA).
The organisation has reported Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, also known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, to the criminal investigation department and filed a criminal complaint against him.
Dr. Apaak asserts that in any respectable democracy, the man of God would have been detained for these alleged offences.
The organisation demands an investigation of the man of God for suspected violations of Sections 251, 215 and 132 of the Criminal and Other Offenses Act 1960 (Act 29).
They assert that among the alleged offences Rev. Kusi Boateng committed was misleading a public official. the personification of a court witness and fraud committed under false pretences.
"We believe that the respondent committed a criminal offence under Section 251 of Act 29 by knowingly giving false and contradictory information to these public officers to obtain two different passports from the State, two different driver's licences from the Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Authority, two different tax identification numbers, and two different voters ID cards."
Dr. Apaak responded by saying that the man of God should have been arrested for the alleged offences since he is not above the law.
He claimed that despite their being obvious evidence that demands an explanation and the person who blew the whistle on it, he was unable to comprehend the current scenario.
The target of the criticism is the purported story surrounding the man of God.
He called the man of God a liar and demanded to know why he had not been arrested, adding that this is a test case for the nation and Ghanaians are waiting to see what happens.
Such a cunning individual, two: mothers, days of birth, dates of birth, names, TIN numbers, passports, Ghanaian identification cards, yet moves about freely? Do security forces require a reason to detain him? Is he exempt from the law? The test case is being observed.
