Another Brazilian legend, Pelé is second on the list. The late Brazilian legend scored 70 goals from free kicks during his career that helped him win three FIFA World Cup titles. Argentine legend Victor Legrotaglie is the third best free kick player in football history. The former midfielder has scored 66 goals from free kicks in his career. He is associated with Brazilian legend and player known for his flair, Ronaldinho, who also scored 66 goals from free kicks during his career.


Manchester United and England legend David Beckham is fifth on the list. The former LA Galaxy star has established himself as one of the best set-ups in football history during his playing career. Known for his tantalizing crosses, the Englishman has scored 65 goals from direct free kicks during his career.



The late Argentina legend and World Cup winner Diego Maradona is sixth on the list. The Napoli legend has scored 62 goals from free kicks in his career. He is on par with Brazilian legend Zico, who also scored 62 goals from free kicks before hanging up his boots.



Argentinian legend and current star of Paris Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi is eighth on the list. The World Cup champion scored a free-kick for Paris Saint-Germain against Lille in the French First Division, bringing his total to 61 from the free kick.
