Real Madrid is always looking for the best young talent in the world. This suggests they signed Endrick recently with a transfer package said to be around €72m including add-ons and taxes, despite being just 16 years old and with only a handful of young players on the pitch.

The club have also been linked with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Josko Gvardiol in recent times. And it seems a Liverpool teenager has also caught their attention.

Real Madrid fans must have been delighted with the 5-2 victory right at Anfield against Liverpool. However, there is one player who was not expected to enter the Reds' field at the start of the season.

Stefan Bajcetic was recently spotted and the 18-year-old midfielder has been trying to establish himself as a starter for Liverpool. His performance drew a lot of applause and the sky seemed to be the limit for him.

As Calciomercato reports, Bajcetic's stellar performance has attracted interest from both Barcelona and Real Madrid as a future reinforcement in the midfield.

Real Madrid and Barcelona interested in signing Liverpool star

Bajcetic may have been away from the starting lineup at the start of this season. But he definitely has his chance right now. According to Transfermarkt statistics, he has made 22 appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring and assisting 1 time per game.

So it's not hard to see why Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in the young Spaniard. He is an amazing talent and if he can continue to develop at this rate, he could be one of the best midfielders in world football for more than a decade.

Let's wait and see if Real Madrid make a move for him. At the very least, signing him from Liverpool will be difficult.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola joked that he could have been careless to finish off Leipzig in the Champions League using "nine strikers".

City were held to a 1-1 draw in Germany on Wednesday in the first leg of the round of 16 with Riyad Mahrez's opening goal canceled out by a Josko Gvardiol header.

“I don't want to come here and lose 4-3. He will have to be more open to Manchester," said Guardiola, who coached Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga title for three years in Germany and said City "couldn't match" the pace of German teams.

“We don't have a squad to compete with them with a lot of transitions, they are better than us and faster than us, except for Kyle (Walker) and Erling (Haaland). "The speed they have, we don't."

Guardiola added:

"Maybe in the second leg I will go crazy and decide to play with nine strikers. But I have coached in this country and I have analyzed Leipzig and I need that kind of control.

The City manager rallied his team on the field for an impromptu rally after the final whistle to cheer them up.

"They bowed their heads, I said to them 'Why are you bowing, keep your heads high'," the Spaniard said in his post-match press conference.

"It's a very good game the game you played. If people didn't like it, that's okay, you played the game as it should.

The City boss said the Champions League was "quite easy" but now "such a tough competition". "All the teams in all the leagues are really strong."

Leipzig manager Marco Rose has revealed his halftime chatter, which 'started quietly and ended a little louder', had caused his players to stop 'playing the game' How to fight the City'.

"I told them 'what are you guys doing, going into a game like this and keeping a deep distance - that's not the plan.

Rose said he was confident ahead of the second leg in Manchester on March 14 but admitted "going to Man City, we'd rather have a 3-0 advantage to feel better".

"It could take a lot for us to not be able to play more first half like we did today."
