Toro Bravo is a brand-new company that makes it.
Renderings for the 2023 Silver Spear, the first vehicle from a new company called Toro Bravo 4x4, have been made public. Customers have the option of selecting either a Chevrolet 5500 or a Ram 5500 work truck as the base for this recreational vehicle, which is based on the Crew Cab chassis of the 2023 Ford F-550 Super Duty.
Pre-orders for the Silver Spear are currently open with a $100 founder's deposit, even though it is not yet available for purchase. The starting price will be between $200,000 and $400,000. Customers pay that much to get a truck with a reflective, aluminum-skinned modular box design on the back and a 3D-printed interior that is made just for them. The Silver Spear can also tow a boat, ATVs, or other toys because it is based on a heavy-duty truck.
Despite having more living space than a dedicated RV, the Silver Spear is able to travel to a wider range of locations thanks to its sturdy truck foundation. It comes standard with four-wheel drive and 40-inch tires that can go up to 81 miles per hour.
According to Toro Bravo founder Jeff Rohrer, "The mission of Toro Bravo 4x4 is to design an approachable and affordable multi-purpose overland vehicle that can serve a myriad of functions." With the Silver Spear, our first model, owners can swap out their work tools for their favorite outdoor weekend toys in a matter of minutes and hit the road. For Silver Spear, the road begins where the majority of RVs end.
The interior was designed by the engineering studio PROTOTYP3, with features like recess lighting, 3D-printed cabinetry, a removable kitchen cooktop, a permanent sink counter, bunk beds, and storage at the bedside. There are two fold-down bunk beds that can be removed for storage and a queen-size bed in the cabin.
A 60-gallon fresh water tank, a 30-gallon gray water reservoir, and a propane water heater supply the Silver Spear's wet bath and kitchen sink, which are intended for daily use. For outdoor cooking, the propane-powered two-burner stove and 25-gallon Dual-Zone-powered cooler can be wheeled outside.
The cantilever rear ramp or a side door provide owners with access to the box. Work equipment and activity vehicles can be loaded with ease using this arrangement. Additionally, the ramp can be turned 90 degrees to be used as a porch, outdoor table, cooking station, or workbench. Storage boxes, a pass-through gear tunnel, air conditioning, a skylight, and solar panels are additional exterior options.
