Claudia Pina has signed a new contract with Barcelona, ??extending his stay until the summer of 2026. The striker's current contract expires this summer.

At the age of 21, Pina is the rising star of Spanish football. She has become an increasingly important member of Barca's winning squad over the past 18 months, scoring 19 goals in all competitions during last season's breakout campaign.

Pina spent a year on loan at Sevilla but has progressed through Barca's youth levels after joining the club a decade ago from city rivals Espanyol. Last season, she scored both on and off the bench against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals, first in front of more than 91,000 fans at the Camp Nou, then appearing on the bench in the final.

Pina made his national team debut for Spain in 2021 and attended Euro 2022 last summer. But she was one of 15 players who refused to be called up by current coach Jorge Vilda.

"Barca is my life, I've always been a fan and you can see that. I hope to continue for many more years," the player said of her new contract. "The challenge is to keep growing and keep giving your best and helping in every game."

Barca have awarded several new contracts this season, with Caroline Graham Hansen, Ingrid Engen, Fridolina Rolfo and Irene Paredes among the high-profile stars who will put pen to paper on new terms.

Earlier this week, reserve goalkeeper Cata Coll also put pen to paper on a new contract that runs until 2026.
