UEFA has officially announced the best team of the week after the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. Bayern Munich beat Paris Saint Germain in France, AC Milan narrowly beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0, while Chelsea lost 1-0 to Dortmund.
Liverpool v Real Madrid is the most exciting and eye-catching match of the week when Los Blancos play passionately at Anfield. Despite beautiful goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah that put Liverpool ahead, Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr stole the moment and left the Red Devils injured in front of the fans.
Napoli also reached the quarter-finals of the tournament after beating Frankfurt 2-0 in Germany. Thanks to the goals of Victor Osimhen and Di Lorenzo. Manchester City had to learn their lesson the hard way after drawing in Germany against Leipzig. The Citizens opened the scoring just before the half-time whistle sounded, but Croatian centre-back Josko Gvardiol equalized in the 70th minute to create a chance for the Etihad team.
Inter Milan scored a late goal against Portuguese side Porto, with Romelu Lukaku scoring the late winner. UEFA quickly posted the first leg matches of the week's Round of 16 on their official website after the matches.

Manchester United will 'consider' a move to Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe should the Reds move to new ownership, according to Football Insider (h/t Manchester Evening News).
In the upcoming transfer window, the Old Trafford team will want to strengthen the strikers. To that end, the Manchester team have made it a priority to add a striker next summer.
United already have a few options for the number 9 spot. Tottenham Hotspur stars Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen are on the club's radar as priority targets.

However, the Red Devils will "plot" to recruit Mbappe if this club is taken over. The Old Trafford team can choose to bring the 24-year-old player back to MU in the near future.
Currently, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar has confirmed his intention to buy back the Old Trafford team by submitting an offer. However, it remains to be seen if we can manage to divert the French international away from the Parisians.
Mbappe joined PSG in the summer of 2017 from AS Monaco. Over the years, the 24-year-old has played very well for the Ligue 1 side.
In 2018, the French player also won the World Cup in Russia. Then, in 2022, the striker was again a mainstay for Didier Deschamps' side in Qatar. However, the Blues lost the final to Argentina on penalties following Mbappe's hat-trick.
At United, apart from Marcus Rashford, none of our strikers have ever scored. The 25-year-old player has to bear the burden of the Red Devils attack under Erik ten Hag.

Currently, Mbappe seems an unrealistic target for the Old Trafford team, due to our lack of success in recent years. However, it remains to be seen whether the Manchester-based club can land the 24-year-old in the near future.
