Marcus Rashford was seen walking out of Old Trafford following an injury update.

Marcus Rashford was injured during Manchester Utd's Europa League victory over Barcelona and is now questionable for the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

Manchester United fans may be worried after Marcus Rashford was seen limping after suffering an injury during the win over Barcelona.

The in-form forward was replaced late in Thursday's Europa League match after receiving treatment moments earlier after colliding with Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo. Rashford then walked down the touchline with only one boot on, which concerned Red Devils fans.

The 25-year-old hardly decided to add to those fears when he posted an image of himself on Instagram with a bandaged emoji, implying that his knock could be problematic. He was later seen walking out of Old Trafford after the game, hobbling more than usual.

United's timing couldn't be worse, with the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle on Sunday. Rashford has been on fire since returning from the World Cup, scoring 16 goals since Christmas.

In that time, he has only failed to score four times, including the most recent victory over Barcelona. While there has been no official update on Rashford's injury, Erik ten Hag will be desperate for him to play against Newcastle as the Dutchman seeks his first trophy as United manager.

Beyond that, his team has an FA Cup fifth-round tie against West Ham next Wednesday, followed by a trip to rivals Liverpool as they look to maintain their outside chance of winning the Premier League title.

Former Manchester United star Robin van Persie attended the game on Thursday, which marked a watershed moment in Ten Hag's tenure. "Rashford is a unique talent," the retired striker told BT Sport. That was evident from an early age in the Premier League.

"He is now at a process where it doesn't matter who he is playing, if it's Barcelona, or in England, or a cup game, he can trust his own qualities.

"He is physically very strong, mentally he is very confident, and that is linked to Erik ten Hag because he gives him the confidence and the stage, so for him it's just a matter of being fit, enjoying the game, and it doesn't matter who he plays against, he will do the job."
