Fields Auto Works makes it, and it costs $115,000.

The Scioto Coupe from Fields Auto Works might be a good option for you if you have more than $115,000 to spend and are looking for a sports car that is more focused on the track.

The Scioto is an ode to sports and race cars from the past thanks to its retro-inspired design. The front end is reminiscent of the Ford GT, and the profile is reminiscent of Le Mans racers from the 1960s. The overall shape and rear profile also hint at the Nissan R390, a 24 Hours of Le Mans veteran. Despite the fact that it draws inspiration from a variety of sources, it is undeniable that it has quite the appearance.

The Scioto weighs just 1,900 pounds due to its lightweight fiberglass construction. Because of its low mass, you can move quickly without a powerful engine. However, Fields Auto Works has installed a V8 based on the LS that produces 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. If you're willing to spend more, you can get about 60% more power.

The powerful V8 engine is mounted in the middle for optimal balance and handling, and the double control arm pull-rod suspension also helps. The driver can customize the vehicle to their liking thanks to the fully adjustable coilover dampers.

However, strong brakes are insufficient without power and handling. Four-piston calipers with two-piece vented rotors are standard on the Scioto Coupe. A brake bias adjuster that is mounted in the cockpit also makes this adaptable. Customers can select either a sequential transaxle "box" or a six-speed manual transmission from the two available options.

The fiberglass body was made to easily cut through the air. The gullwing doors lead to the cabin, where there is room for two people in the cockpit. It has composite sport seats, six-point harnesses, and a six-inch driver display, but it is not the ultimate in luxury.

Fields Auto Works provides a wide range of options to customers, despite the impressive statistics. There is a choice to increase power to a staggering 800 horses. So, how much does all of this cost? The bespoke automaker claims that prices begin at $115,000, but the engine is not included.

For a track toy, that's a lot of money, but it's a unique and stylish way to fly around your local racetrack. It is still significantly less expensive than the KTM GT-XR, which sells for a whopping $306,575. When

The first batch of the Scioto Coupe has already sold out, but a second batch is ready to go, and deliveries are expected to start toward the end of 2023.
