One of the most ferocious pagans ever created is this one.
This 2010 Pagani Zonda R Evolution, which is being offered for sale by RM Sotheby's, is a prime example of the skill and vision of this Italian automobile manufacturer. Pagani produces some of the most exclusive and expensive supercars in the world.
While the majority of fans are currently obsessing over new models like the Pagani Utopia, a large number of others are closely monitoring the auction market. We have previously written about some seriously exclusive Pagani automobiles, such as Lewis Hamilton's $11.3-million Purple Pagani Zonda LH760 sale.
One of the rarest examples of the Zonda R Evolution you see here There are only ten, and this is number 5.
This Pagani Zonda, which was built between 2009 and 2011, was built to the extreme R Evolution specification at the Pagani factory in 2014. Since July 2010, it has maintained its Nurburgring lap record for gasoline-powered non-series cars.
The Zonda R's chassis is an improved version of the Zonda F's, with a carbon-titanium monocoque and only 10% Pagani-made components; all of the rest are custom-made for this vehicle.
There are four projector beam lamps, numerous diffusers and spoilers, and a massive rear wing on the exterior. A 6.0-liter V-12 engine with 780 horsepower, inspired by the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, can be found under the hood. A six-speed sequential transaxle gearbox with a multi-disc racing clutch and a lightweight magnesium casing transfers power to the rear wheels. A set of ceramic-coated Inconel 625 headers redirects exhaust fumes.
In 2014, the Pagani factory upgraded this vehicle to the R Evolution specification, which increases power by 30 horses and adds chassis modifications like new Ohlins dampers and lightweight magnesium alloy wheels. A secondary rear wing is added to increase downforce, and the front receives additional downforce planes.
Exposed carbon and "Tricolore" accents style the exterior. In April 2022, this model had a significant service that cost nearly $30,000 and included a new set of Pirelli tires, a new fuel tank, and a complete flush of the fuel system. Additionally, the vehicle has the most recent Zonda R driveshaft updates from Pagani.
We are confident that it will fetch a substantial sum of money when it goes up for auction on March 4, 2023, at the RM Sotheby's Amelia Island event. For the time being, a Lego set will suffice.
