The Swedish automaker will style all of its upcoming models here.Polestar has announced the opening of its new design studio in Sweden's Gothenburg, right next to the global headquarters of the all-electric vehicle manufacturer. The studio building itself was constructed in 1984 and was designed by architects Owe Svard and Romaldo Giurgola. It has undergone extensive renovations to meet Polestar's requirements and give it a more contemporary appearance. Before Polestar moved in, it had already been upgraded, and designers worked hard to keep its distinctive architectural character.

The renovated facility will be used by the roughly 120 members of the design team to create the brand's ever-evolving styling language. Over the next three years, there will be three new models, including the Polestar 3.

Maximilian Missoni, the head of design at Polestar, stated, "While we wanted to respect tradition, we also wanted this to be a state-of-the-art home for our growing design team." Therefore, in addition to the stunning views of the Gothenburg archipelago to the west, the studio has the most recent equipment inside to make our jobs easier and produce better results in the most effective manner."

In the middle of this year, the Polestar 3 is expected to begin series production, and dealerships will receive it this winter. The styling of the other new Polestar models—the Polestar 4, 5, and 6—will be influenced by the 2021 Precept concept. In the coming months, the design team must refine their styling. Precept influences will also be present in Polestar 3.

Similar to the 3, the Polestar 4 will be a crossover, but it will be smaller and likely a subcompact. It is anticipated that the 5 will be a production version of the Precept, and the 6 will be a sultry convertible based on the O2 concept. The Polestar 1, the company's first vehicle, was a limited-edition plug-in hybrid. Since then, every new vehicle has been and will continue to be entirely electric.

The Polestar 2 recently got some new styling for the 2024 model year, as well as more power and range. The company will keep updating its cars over time. We can anticipate that the skilled artists and engineers at the electric vehicle manufacturer will use this new design foundation to the fullest and produce even more impressive vehicles in the future.
