The latest scale model replica from Amalgam Collection features the engine and transmission of a Ferrari Daytona SP3 car.
The F140HC engine and seven-speed gearbox can now be added to Amalgam's existing scale model of the car by collectors and enthusiasts in this 1:14 scale replica. This powertrain model is a prime example of the attention to detail that this company is known for.
Amalgam will only produce 599 replicas of the Ferrari's 829-horsepower combustion engine because the subject is so unique.
Sandy Copeman, brand director, stated, "The Ferrari Daytona SP3 Engine and Gearbox is one of the most exciting new models we will launch in 2023." We are thrilled to be collaborating with Ferrari's design and engineering teams to deliver this 1:4 scale replica of modern automotive history, which may be the final naturally aspirated power unit.
The CAD data provided by Ferrari serves as the basis for the model, which is millimeter-perfect. Amalgam scaled down the data to find a perfect match after receiving the package and created patterns for each visible area. Metal, carbon fiber, and rubber were used to fill individual parts' molds, and CNC machines were used for many other parts.
According to Amalgam, it took over 3,500 hours to develop, and Ferrari still needed to approve the first prototype. However, once it was sufficiently accurate, production could begin. The finished product is 17 inches long and 7 inches high, and it took 325 hours to cast, fit, adjust, paint, and put together.
This is an excellent match for the Ferrari F1-75 single-seater and the company's numerous other Maranello-made models for serious Ferrari fans. Amalgam will even make a scale model of your exact Ferrari for those who truly care.
Naturally, none of these models are inexpensive. It is scandalous that the scale model of the Daytona SP3 engine and gearbox costs $15,250. You could also just get a Lego model of the entire vehicle.
