According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Chelsea owners are being patient with manager Graham Potter despite a disappointing 2-0 loss to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Potter was already under pressure ahead of the derby, and the loss to Spurs, their third in a row, will likely only lead to more calls for him to be sacked.
Unlike the previous two defeats, in which Chelsea were arguably the better team, this time Tottenham won comfortably.
They knew Chelsea lacked the ability to break through to score and all they had to do was wait for their chance.
Chelsea co-owner and chairman Todd Boehly must have realized that too. He watched the game from the stands.
But according to CBS Sports' Jacobs, Potter's job is safe for now.

"Please understand that Chelsea owners retain their faith and patience in Graham Potter," Jacobs wrote on Twitter.
"There are no plans to sack the Chelsea manager tonight."
While the loss didn't really change Chelsea's position in the table, fans are right to wonder about the lack of clarity in terms of promotion in the squad.
The west London team not only has a long way to go to solve the problem of scoring, but they can't keep a clean sheet in the last 3 matches, after the previous 4 matches, they have conceded 3 matches. Thiago Silva's injury may play a part, as former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson has pointed out, but many also question Benoit Badiashile's absence.

Italian legend Giorgio Chiellini has insisted Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez is perfect and admitted he was wrong to doubt his abilities.
Martinez arrives at Old Trafford this summer as the first of two signings Erik ten Hag has made from former club Ajax.
