THE 203-HP SLINGSHOT SPECIAL EDITION IS A COLLABORATION BETWEEN ROUSH AND POLARIS.

The new 203 horsepower Roush special edition model, which is a direct upgrade of the Slingshot R platform, has been added to the three-wheeled Polaris Slingshot lineup.

In 2020, Polaris introduced the current Slingshot, which has 178 horsepower in lower trims and is powered by the company's own 2.0-liter ProStar four-cylinder. If you buy the SLR, R, or now the Roush edition, the engine produces 203 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque at a maximum speed of 8,500 rpm.

What distinguishes the Roush Edition? The Slingshot Excursion Top, four-piston Brembo Brakes with 14% larger front brake rotors and fixed calipers, Sparco pedal covers for improved foot grip, and a race car-inspired steering wheel with color accents are just a few of the features added to the R.

Paddle shifters provide enhanced shifting control on demand for Polaris customers who choose the Auto Drive automatic transmission over the five-speed manual transmission that comes standard. The paddle shifters feature a Roush block "R" logo on the shift knob. In order to provide excellent feedback while driving, these shifters are made of a composite material.

A seven-inch infotainment screen, as well as a Roush-supplied driver's seat, a 100-watt audio system, amplifier, and Apple Car Play, come standard. In terms of styling, Polaris went with a center stripe and stitching that were color-matched, blacked-out badges, a Roush graphics package, Racetrack Red special edition paint, an excursion top, and a glove box badge from the Roush Edition.

The Roush Edition is no different from the three-wheeled Polaris Slingshot, which we previously mentioned as a more extreme option for those looking for something a little bit different and wilder than a Mazda Miata.

Additionally, it benefits from Roush influences. Options like heated and cooled seats, additional storage bags, a color-matched rear fender, and a Stage 3 audio kit with integrated speakers behind the headrest are available to buyers who choose to upgrade their vehicle.

Pricing is probably your next question if you like what you see here. The model with three pedals starts at $37,349, while the AutoDrive-equipped version starts at $39,499. The prices are $37,349 and $39,499, respectively, slightly higher for California residents.

Deliveries will begin this spring, and orders are currently being accepted.
