According to reports, Liverpool are interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, who is 20 years old, this summer.
The Netherlands international could prove to be an excellent long-term investment for the Reds. He is widely regarded as one of the young center midfielders with the most talent in Europe.
Gravenberch may be the ideal midfield partner for their primary target, and it is no secret that Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen his midfield in preparation for the upcoming season. Bellingham's Jude Klopp is said to be determined to sign the England international despite the high price, but Manchester City, Manchester United, and Real Madrid are also interested in the player.
However, they will require more than one new midfielder because James Milner, Jordan Henderson, and Fabinho are all likely past their prime, and Naby Keita will leave at the end of this season.
As a result, Gravenberch may be Klopp's ideal acquisition, as the youngster is thought to be interested in a move to the Premier League. The situation is being investigated, and Gravenberch's representatives have already contacted him to inquire about him and his character.
After proving his worth in the Eredivisie, the Dutchman made the move from Ajax to the German giants in the summer of 2017. Gravenberch played 103 games for Ajax, contributing to three championship campaigns by scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists.
The youngster is a versatile player who can play as a defensive, central, or attacking midfielder. This means that he could cover multiple positions for Liverpool next season.
Gravenberch struggles to get minutes at Bayern, but he has played much less for Bayern. He has played just over 600 minutes of football in Germany this season, seemingly behind players like Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka. Gravenberch is reportedly looking to move away from the Allianz Arena so that he can play more frequently elsewhere.
The Dutchman's ability to play as a good box-to-box midfielder makes him a good partner for Bellingham. They both have the energy to be dangerous on offense and good on defense, too.
However, Liverpool may need to pay a significant transfer fee to acquire Gravenberch this summer because Bayern have not yet indicated that they want to sell him.
