The kusaug traditional area is made of six traditional districts;
1. Zebilla
2. Binduri
3. Bawku
4. Pusiga
5. Garu
6. Tempane
Bawku is the capital of the Kusaug Traditional Area.
Bawku is dominated by kusasis as well as the other districts.
Bawku is traditionally ruled by a kusasi and he is the kingmaker to the other 5 districts.
Mamprusis are just located in a smaller enclave in Bawku township. Mamprusis wants to be the paramount chief of Bawku, how would that be? To rule over who? To rule over all the 6 districts? To enskin chiefs over all the 6 districts? Yes, you did that in the colonial era, masterminded by our colonial masters.
Kusasis gained their independence some 64years ago and by that, we have been ruling over ourselves.
Kusasis won't accept any neo colonialism in what so ever form. We resist any attempt by any political twist.
