The Ghana Beverage Awards' sponsors, Global Media Alliance, have formally announced that the nomination period for the 7th edition of the awards program is now closed.
The nominations for this year, which were accepted immediately following the announcement on January 13, 2023, were formally closed on February 26, 2023. The submissions were made available so that the public and beverage firms may submit nominations for deserving beverage brands across a range of categories. They now have roughly 700 nominations total, including both brand and public nominations.
The voting portion of the process will then start for particular categories, and the organizers are pushing all Ghanaians to actively participate in it since it is equally important as the nominations.
Ernest Boateng, CEO of the GMA Group, expressed his thanks to Ghanaians and the beverage businesses for their combined support and constant involvement over the years in the nomination period and the awards program as a whole in his remarks following the conclusion of the nominations.
"For the previous seven years, the Ghana Beverage Awards have significantly depended on the general public's and beverage firms' engagement in submitting their top brands and products for recognition, and we have never been let down." As organizers, everyone must accept this rewards system, and we will continue to rely on you to make it successful.
He emphasized that two new categories—the Beverage Campaign of the Year and the Indigenous Beverage Brand of the Year—were added to this year's GBA. This addition was included to stress the overall development and advancement of our indigenous drinks over time by rewarding and acknowledging ingenuity and originality in the creation of engaging tactics and marketing.
He continued, "Global Media Alliance is committed to supporting the work of Ghana's beverage sector and dedicated to highlighting meritorious local companies for the global market. He stated, "It is beyond a doubt that our topic, Inspiring Excellence in Ghana's Beverage Industry, continues to elevate and inspire us each year as the standard we aspire to achieve."
