A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team, Sufian King Bawre has rained praises on the promises issued by former president of Ghana and presidential candidate hopeful for the NDC in the upcoming elections, John Dramani Mahama.
On 2nd March, 2023, his excellency John Dramani Mahama launched his campaign at the University Of Health And Allied Sciences auditorium in Ho, the Volta regional capital. Mr Mahama took the opportunity of the stage and threw punches on the ruling New Patriotic Party government, describing them as clueless and try an error.
“cluelessness and the harrowing dismantling of our progress by the NPP government has damaged and killed many bright dreams of the country'
He also described how clueless the present leadership of the country is
'This government has been clueless and, in many ways, callous. We are saddled with debt, and we have been downgraded by every rating agency and inflation has gone off the roof, sending people into abject poverty' President Mahama
The former president therefore promised Ghanaians to use only sixty ministers and deputies in his second coming. He also promised to scrap the ex gratia under article 71 office holders.
These two promises got the mind of the young democrat, King Bawre who openly rained praises on the former president and asked Ghanaians to give the former President the door to his second coming so that he save Ghanaians from the current hardship in the country.
As Nigeria just ended their elections last week, with Tinnubu coming out victorious as President elect, Ghana is expected to go to polls on the 7th December, 2024. Mr Mahama would lock horns with anyone from the New Patriotic Party who win their presidential candidature race. In the NPP, Alan Kojo Kyeremateng is racing with Vice President Mahmud Bawumia, Addai Nimoh, Kennedy Agyepong and a few others for the flag bearer's slot.
