Manchester City will turn to Croatian World Cup star Josko Gvardiol - if they lose Aymeric Laporte this summer.
French giants Paris Saint-Germain are expressing a keen interest in centre-back Laporte, who has struggled to become an automatic starter during his five years at the Etihad. That's why City are said to be ready to listen to offers worth more than £60m for the Spain international, 28, in the next transfer window - and use that money to finance support for the pursuit of RB ace Leipzig Gvardiol.
Gvardiol scored for the Bundesliga side against Man City last month in a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie. Pep Guardiola had been a big fan before, but the City boss now seems determined to join the hunt for one of Europe's most demanded players.
