A few days ago, members of the church of Resurrection Power New Generation Church founded by Rev. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye were hit with sad news after the passing of the founder and leader of the church was announced. The man of God was hit with a stroke back in 2021 and was bedridden for some time but he was able to recover and came back to his church to preach to his audience.
In one of his preaching to the members of the church, the man of God revealed that he died for 5 days and was brought back to life by God due to the hard work and good deeds he portrayed. Members and non-members of the church were all happy for his return and excitement filled their faces however in the late date of February 2023, the man of God died due to some unknown health complications.
After his death, videos, and pictures with good and great captions flooded the internet, and church members and people who knew him one way or the other began narrating the good side of him on social media. The founder and pastor of the Alabaster International Ministries, prophet Kofi Oduro have joined the long list of people sharing their experiences with the powerful man of God. He revealed that the late pastor Anthony Kwadwo Boakye was a fine preacher and a good man of God when he first started his ministry.
He further added that, when he first returned from England with his wife in 2010, he and his went into an agreement and gifted their one-week chop money to the man of God after he watched him preach of GTV.
"When I returned from England, I watched Sofo
Boakye on GTV, and when he finished preaching,
he solicited funds for the crusades. I said to my
wife, "Yaa, let us gather our chop money for this
and give it to Sofo Boakye".
"Because this is a preacher of salvation, I heard
gospel from his mouth when I returned from
England in 2010. And I am going to use the
opportunity to speak to us, you can start on a
good note, but your end is a very important
thing, " he told his congregation.
He further added that, although there have been many controversies surrounding the lifestyle of the man of God but that wouldn’t stop him from paying tribute to him for his contribution to the country.
