Real Madrid lost more points:
look back at the la liga
Barcelona beat Valencia 1-0 in a tense match at the Camp Nou.
Xavi's men opened the scoring early and controlled the game from the start, but a missed penalty from Ferran Torres and a red card from Ronald Araujo could lead to unintended consequences. However, the Catalan team has withstood the pressure and widened the gap between them and Real Madrid to 10 points.
The whites have scheduled a match against Real Betis later today. However, neither team broke the deadlock and the match at Benito Villamarin ended in a goalless draw. Therefore, Madrid go home with a single point.
Here's what the charts look like at the moment.
1. Barcelona - 62 points
2. Real Madrid - 53 points
5. Real Betis - 41 points
6. Villarreal - 37 points
