THE MOST IN-FORM TEAMS SO FAR IN 2023 IN TOP-FLIGHT EUROPEAN LEAGUES

The new year has seen several clubs in Europe's top leagues, including the English Premier League, Italy's Serie A, Spain's La Liga, France's Ligue 1 and Germany's Bundesliga, winning. More games than losses and draws combined.



Borussia Dortmund are the strongest club in Europe so far in 2023. The German Bundesliga side are currently 10th out of 10 as they have won 10 games so far in 2023, including a win over Chelsea in the first leg in the Premier League. of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 at Signal Iduna Park about two weeks ago. Borussia Dortmund are currently the only team with a 100% win rate in 2023 in Europe.



La Liga giants Barcelona are also having a great 2023. The Catalans have played 16 games in all competitions this year and they have won 13 of them, including the Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid and the Copa Del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Madrid.


Barcelona have lost just two games in 2023, against Almeria in La Liga and against Manchester United in Europa League qualifying. Barcelona's only draw in 2023 was against Manchester United. The Catalan side have an 81% win rate this year.



Manchester United have won 13 of the 17 games played in 2023. They lost just one game to Arsenal while Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Barcelona let them hold a draw. The Reds have a 76% win rate this year.


Italian Serie A leaders Napoli have won nine of the 12 games they have played in 2023 in all competitions. Napoli have a 75% win rate this year.

Real Madrid drew a goalless draw with Real Betis on Sunday, forcing them to trail Barcelona by more points in this season's La Liga title race.



After overcoming struggling Valencia, Barcelona led the Spanish top-flight with 10 points and Real could have closed the gap to seven had they beaten Betis.


It was Raphinha who sealed an important victory for Xavi's army after an unbelievable assist from Sergio Busquets.


When Barca were awarded a penalty in the second half, it looked like they would control the game but Ferran Torres hit the post.



Barca ended the game with 10 men when Ronald Araujo was sent off. The Barca defender received a direct red card for a technical foul on Hugo Duro, who ran away after Jules Kounde's wrong header.


Barcelona are without top three goalscorers Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele and Pedri due to injury, while boss Xavi watched in the stands as he served his ban on the sidelines.


Valencia remained in the relegation zone after the loss.
