WELCOME TO MY BLOG
DO you really want to know more about the SIC Life insurance and how to maintain of stop it on your payslip?
Then you are at the right place.
with few steps, I will help you to know more and also stop it on your payslip.
Many teachers across the country are eager to stop this on their payslip because they do not know more about this policy.
This is because not even a single teacher was informed before the implementation of that policy on them.
This policy was initiated in 2019 after agitations by some GES staff.
But this policy is supposed to be optional and not to impose on all teachers, especially GNAT members.
The sad news is that some individuals who surrendered this policy never received their refund whiles others could not opt-out at all.
This is why I bring to you a simple way to opt- out peacefully and also to call out for your refund.
News breaking from the office of the SIC states that, some of the benefits of enjoying this as a teacher is that;
1. there is a subsidized monthly premium of GHS 10.00 which cover Death ( natural and accidental causes) up to an amount of GHS 18,000.
2. There is 10% cashback every three years when no claims has been made within the period.
3. critical illness of GHS 9,000 upon diagnosis ( cancer, kidney/renal failure, heart attack, deafness, loss of sight, stroke, paralysis, loss of speech.)
These are the three policy for the deduction. At this point of knowing the benefits, decide whether to stay or opt-out.
if you still want to opt-out, then follow the steps below to do so.
