Ghanaian gospel singer popularly known as Great Ampong has once again stirred up conversations with the current assertions he made in a radio interview. He is famously known in the Ghanaian music industry for his sit songs such as “Akokofunu, Aseda, Maranatha, and more. He is also noted for his collaboration with Ghanaian high-life legend Daddy limbs after they both co-joined and released a joint album.
Although Ampong has stated that, he is a great Christian and worshipper but he does not believe in long prayers and speaking in tongues, according to him, God does not deliver blessings based on lengthy prayers and tongue speaking but rather he has a plan for everyone and your smallest prayer can help you achieve such aim.
He made this revelation in a radio interview with Amansan Krakye. He further sighted examples to back tress his claims. According to him, there is no mother on this earth who will feed their children unless after they have prayed for long hours and in tongues. God is merciful and he listens to the smallest prayer and grants his children their desire.
"God decides on His own to bless those that He
wants to bless and it's not about your long
prayers so when you wake up in the morning just
pray to thank God."
"Which mother in this world will only give her
hungry children food to eat unless they have
prayed for hours in tongues, cried or shouted for
their needs?”.
His submission has stirred up a whole lot of conversations with believers arguing about his fact. According some belivers, praying for long hours is very good because it helps one grows spiritually against evil attacks.
Christians are widely known for their long prayers and speaking in tongues. Although many may not believe in them, for Christians, it has now become part of their religion and they urge people who do not believe in them to stick to their beliefs and stop speaking ill of beliefs.
