The mother of 22-year-old slain soldier Imoro has finally broken her silence on how she heard about the death of her son. The young soldier was beaten and stabbed to death multiple times by yet-to-be-identified thugs. The reason for their actions or the murder of this young soldier is not yet known to the public, however, they have been controversies all around with voice note proves of people narrating that, his death was a result of a clash between himself and another man over the same woman.
The mother of the late soldier identified as Madam Afia Akyaa narrated that, she heard about the death of her son in an area of Ashaiman known as Taifa. Speaking in an interview on Joy News, Madam Afia Akyaa revealed that, she was home when one of Sheirf Imoro’s colleagues visited her asking the whereabouts of Imoro given that he had been given a pass by the superior during a course reason that he wanted to go see his mother. She further added that, per the description of the friend of her son, he narrated that, more was wearing his military trousers when he left 37 military camps.
We tried reaching his phone but it was unreachable, which made me feel a bit uneasy she stressed. "I got
a call from Burma Camp with the caller asking of
my location but I offered rather go to Burma
Camp, rejected that offer and said they were
coming.
"So, I continued with my washing till one of his
uncles came here and I informed him of what was
going on, he also said he wanted to have a
discussion with me.
"Just then one of my brothers came from a corner
and slumped after mentioning Sherrif. So, I
asked, is Sherrif dead for which reason you have
slumped?"
"People started trooping in and looking on their
phones, so I snatched one of the phones and saw
Sherrif in uniform and another dead person on the
side, when I looked at the deceased, I knew it was
Sherrif. I shouted that my son had died.
"I called the military hierarchy and Informed
them of what I got to know but they dispelled the
news and said they were on their way, I hadn't
confirmed the death but I was profusely weeping.
"So, when they came, they confirmed the death
and it was harrowing for me,"
