Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has provided an update on the injuries of Luis Díaz, Thiago Alcântara and Joe Gomez ahead of the Premier League game against Bournemouth.
Liverpool striker Luis Diaz.
Liverpool will be without Luis Díaz, Thiago Alcântara and Joe Gomez against Bournemouth on Saturday, but a tentative route for their return from injury has been revealed by Jürgen Klopp.
What happened?
Liverpool manager Klopp has outlined the schedule by which he hopes three key players will return to action before facing Bournemouth at the weekend - a match that will come too soon for all three. Said what?
"Joe Gomez will probably train midweek. Luis Díaz could be next week. Thiago, we'll see. All three are out (for Bournemouth)," Klopp explained in his press conference with newspapers. "None of them have trained with the team and we'll see that develop in the coming weeks. Since the last game, I haven't heard anything."
What does it mean?
For Bournemouth, that means the team beat Manchester United last weekend. But in the long run, that means those players won't play again until after the international break.
Liverpool face Bournemouth on Saturday and then Real Madrid on Tuesday, before a long break after the Fulham game is called off. In particular, it will be a great motivation to bring Thiago and Díaz back before the matches after the international tournament:
Manchester City and Chelsea away then Arsenal at home.
