Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has a message for fans after being voted player of the month.
In February, Nunez added to his Premier League record with the opening goal in a crucial 2-0 win over Newcastle United before slamming the ball against Real Madrid in the last Champions League clash.
After accepting the award, Nunez congratulated Liverpool supporters by saying:
“First of all, I want to thank the fans for that because as soon as you walk out onto the pitch to warm up and hear your name being chanted by the fans, it's amazing and it gives me goosebumps.
"I've never heard of anything like this before. It's really great for me and my wife too. She even told me that 'it's great that they support you and are always behind you'. She always told me that when I had a bit of a hard time in the first few games, the fans always supported me.
"They never gave up on me and were always by my side. Now it's important to thank them and try to make those fans as happy as possible."
