Manchester United are ready to sell Anthony Martial this summer, according to a new report.
In the summer, Erik ten Hag is expected to prioritize playing in the striker position as the club are said to have targeted Tottenham's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen.
Indeed, the club are looking for a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who abruptly left Old Trafford in November.
United have relied heavily on Marcus Rashford to score, as the Englishman is enjoying the best scoring season of his career.
While Rashford has scored 26 goals this season, his teammate Martial has only scored 6 goals in 14 appearances all season. And if the reports are to be believed, United are planning to cut their losses for the Frenchman this summer.
Martial will leave MU?
The Manchester Evening News claim that MU intends to sell Martial this summer.
The Frenchman became the world's most expensive teen player in 2015 when he signed for United for Ł58m.
Martial's contract is due to expire next year, although United have the option to extend it for a further year. However, United are said to be ready to sell, after the 27-year-old's injury-filled season.
Martial's season was also marred by a training rift in November with U18 star Dan Gore.
According to the Daily Mirror, Gore rammed Martial with "a fierce kick" that pitted the players against each other.
Martial should have "frustrated" the young player to stay. The striker later apologized for his part in the incident.
