Dear Government and Stakeholders

We are writing to you today to express our concern about the ongoing conflict in Bawku, and to call for your urgent intervention in finding a lasting solution to this crisis. The conflict in Bawku has been ongoing for several years now and has resulted in the loss of many lives, destruction of properties, and displacement of people. We believe that this conflict, if left unresolved, will continue to undermine the peace and stability of not only Bawku but also the entire Upper East Region of Ghana. We appreciate the efforts that have been made so far by the government and stakeholders to address the conflict. However, we urge you to do more in finding a lasting solution to this crisis. We believe that a comprehensive and inclusive approach that involves all parties and stakeholders is necessary to achieve lasting peace in Bawku. We call on the government to provide the necessary resources and support to facilitate peacebuilding initiatives in the region. This should include supporting dialogue and reconciliation efforts among the parties involved, as well as investing in the social and economic development of the area to address the underlying causes of the conflict.

We also call on all stakeholders, including civil society organizations, traditional leaders, religious leaders, and the media, to support these efforts towards peacebuilding and reconciliation in Bawku.

Finally, we urge all parties involved in the conflict to exercise restraint, respect for human rights, and engage in peaceful dialogue to resolve their differences.

In conclusion, we believe that a lasting solution to the conflict in Bawku is possible with the right commitment and resources from the government and stakeholders. We hope that you will take the necessary steps to address this crisis and ensure lasting peace and stability in Bawku and the entire Upper East Region of Ghana.
