We are entering the final months of the 2022-23 season and now is a good time to start thinking about the Premier League Player of the Season nominees.
It's not easy this season, is it?
From Erling Haaland scoring many goals to Arsenal's young players shining and shining throughout the league carrying their team, this award can go to very different places.
Below is a picture of the Premier League Player of the Season candidates entering the home field.
Ranking of the candidates for the best player of the Premier League season
7. Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)
KDB once again leads the Premier League in assists and his smooth passes and crosses lead this Manchester side. He's been down on form this season and has struggled a bit with injuries, but he's consistently delivered great moments and is always hungry to serve. He's the kind of character you have. His connection to Erling Haaland is particularly strong and KDB will lead City to a title race at the end of the season.
6. Harry Kane (Tottenham)
He hit the 20-goal mark in the Premier League for the sixth time in nine full PL seasons in his career. Three seasons remaining, he scored 17, 18 and 17. His consistency is remarkable and Kane is on track to break his PL best 30 record. As well as being Spurs' all-time leading scorer, his importance to their play is clear. With Heung-min Son having a bad season, Spurs will be worried about Kane suffering back pain at the end of the season due to all that he's done this season...
5.Ivan Toney (Brentford)
The Brentford mainstay has 15 goals and leads Europe. Bees and Toney is supposed to be a one-season miracle, but it's not. Toney has developed his play and like Kane, he plays great streaks and if he doesn't score he will certainly help create a lot of chances. Off the pitch, the FA charged him with alleged violations of their betting rules that weighed heavily on him, but on this one, Toney was fantastic. Moreover, his scoring shots and technique are amazing.
4. Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)
In top form since the World Cup, he is the Marcus Rashford we know and love. His back runs took their toll and Rashford became United's talisman. He needs more help to share the scoring burden, but he sees plenty of opportunities coming his way when United play straight and true to their strengths. Rashford is difficult to score from wherever he starts on the pitch and he has added clinical finishing thanks to his superb pace and clever runs.
3. Martin Odegaard (Arsenal)
The Arsenal captain was dignified and very composed when he was on the ball, but also brought great determination into his game. Odegaard has always been considered a smooth-playing player but he adds courage and motivation to his games and his relationships with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are a big reason why Arsenal fight for the title.
2. Erling Haaland (Manchester City)
Scoring with unbelievable speed all season, Haaland was difficult to stop when Man City started. He scores all kinds of goals and blends in seamlessly. There were still times when he went through a couple of games without scoring, but he always came back and his holdings improved even as Premier League defenders became more aware. about that.
1. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
